We LOVED Headwaters Cabins! The overall location is around 5 minutes from Yellowstone & Tetons. We stayed in the larger cabins, with bathrooms inside, and thought the rooms were clean, spacious, comfortable, and fitting for the environment. The cabins were amongst tall conifers, which smelled so good! The front porches had rocking chairs to make a hot cup of coffee super enjoyable in the 45° summer mornings. Employees were super nice and caring. The restaurant's food was DELICIOUS and the servers were very attentive. We asked the host what his favorite parts of Yellowstone were and he came back with a map, highlighted and circled with his own personal favorites. We were incredibly impressed with (I think his name was) Quentin! Overall, one of our favorite lodging experiences.
We stayed at Flagg Ranch-- one night we went camped and another we had a cabin. The first night there was a large group of very loud campers until nearly 3am. When we called after hours of this, they drove through so the crowd was quiet until they passed, but continued on afterward.
The sites were clean and easy to find, but lined next to each other. There were many trees which was the beautiful part, but you are camping pretty close together.
The cabins were awesome (no electric). Bathrooms were a walk but they were clean. It is very dark at night, so don't forget a flashlight!
The restaurant in the lodge was good, but pricey-- had great breakfasts before heading out to the Tetons and Yellowstone-- the best part was the location right between those! We will go back.
horrible experience!
We checked in at 22:00 after a long day of hiking.
When we got into to the cabin we were shocked!!
It smelled bad (like horse ranch).
The room was dirty.
The sheets had a stain and hairs on them.
We were moved to a cabin with a smaller bed than we paid for.
Avoid at all costs! Would give zero stars if I could.
If you’re looking for pristine wilderness accommodation then be aware that this is not the right place.
There was a fire some years ago which left the area looking quite desolate.
The rooms are at best “dated” which are 2 to 3 star motel type rooms at 5 star prices( like all Vail Resorts properties). And the whole setup is weird, with different sub contractors running the store, coffee shop and restaurant.
Not impressed and expected better.
The restaurant had really good food. The rooms are overpriced for what you get though. We had asked for the noisy furnace to get fixed. It had some loose hardware and it made a loud banging noise all night which kept my children awake all night. Despite asking maintenance to fix it 3 times we heard him over the radio saying “it’s safe” lol. We were concerned with the loud banging noise not our safety because we were traveling with young children who were up all night because of it. Even after telling them this they did not fix it. They put in a way old space heater that did nothing and the furnace still banged all night.
Stayed here the night before we went into Yellowstone. The rooms were absolutely massive, the check-in process was easy and painless, and our stay was pleasant.
If you put the address into your maps, it will lead you to the Jackson Lake Lodge 30 minutes south for some reason. Make sure to drop a pin instead.
We booked a night's stay through Capital One Travel and there was a mixup with our reservation number. Christi was very thorough, and helped exhaust all our options and was able to find our booking. She even upgraded our room due to the stress and time it took to get everything resolved. Very helpful and awesome service. The rooms are great, a convenient location for both parks nearby. Would recommend staying here!
Great location near Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Park.
